Meet Dr. Cristina Medina
SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR AT ALL SMILES/ ORAL REHABILITATION-PROSTHODONTIST
Dr. Cristina Medina, DDS has been setting the highest standards of excellence in restorative and aesthetic dentistry since 1993. She is an oral rehabilitation specialist whose passion for restorative and aesthetic dentistry is reflected through her friendly, reassuring personality. Through years of practice she has become skillful and talented and her know-how makes patients feel confident and at ease.
The focus of her practice has been to achieve excellence in function and aesthetics in the treatments she performs while delivering beautiful smiles one person at a time so that each patient is able to find the comfort and confidence they much need and deserve.
Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Dr. Medina received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1989. She completed her post-doctorate specialization training at CIEO foundation in Bogota, where she received a title as an Oral Rehabilitation Specialist.
Dr. Medina was called upon to work as a research assistant in Dental Biomaterials at the University of Florida School of Dentistry. She was mentored by the dean of chemistry at the National University of Colombia to advance studies in biochemistry and materials, after which she was given a position as Professor in Dental Biomaterials and Oral Rehabilitation at El Bosque University School of Dentistry for over 4 years.
Dr. Cristina Medina also had the opportunity of being in a hospital setting which gave her the privilege of performing treatment in highly complex cases, with medically compromised and mild to severe trauma patients. She provided Oral Rehabilitation and Aesthetics at the Fundacion Santafe de Bogota for over 6 years.
Dr. Medina is an active member of the Colombian Prosthodontic Association.
As the Scientific Director at All Smiles, Dr. Medina keeps current with new materials, methods and procedures by frequently attending national and international dental, hands on, seminars, courses and conferences.
